Moving between painting, installation, digital image-making and architectural thinking, she examines how machines are anthropomorphised, how agency is projected onto objects, and how technological systems reshape perception and embodiment.

Her work connects post-digital image-making with posthuman questions of agency, scale and technological intimacy. From early paintings based on enlarged fragments of analogue machines to spatial installations, speculative robot iconographies and recent works informed by generative image systems, her practice follows the gradual transformation of the technical object from instrument into partner, image and quasi-subject.

PRACTICE

Technology appears in Kőszeghy’s work less as a subject than as a condition of coexistence. Her early paintings transformed fragments of analogue machines into ambiguous, body-like forms whose scale and function remained uncertain. Later installations extended these questions into physical and architectural space, making the viewer’s own body part of unstable relations between object, environment and scale.

A subsequent group of works developed speculative images of technological beings: machine-like bodies, relics and quasi-devotional figures belonging to imagined posthuman worlds. With the arrival of generative image systems, the relationship between human and machine shifted again. Early AI-generated figures became source material for drawings and paintings, their anatomical errors and synthetic transitions deliberately preserved rather than corrected.

In her most recent works, this process has reversed. Kőszeghy constructs analogue collages by hand that imitate the visual logic of early generative AI, then translates them into painting. What began as machine vision becomes a learned human visual language: a recursive exchange in which human and technological perception continuously reshape one another.

Across painting, installation, virtual space and architecture, her work returns to the same underlying question: where does the human end when objects, machines and environments increasingly participate in how we perceive, imagine and construct reality?

SELECTED SOLO EXHIBITIONS

2023 — Elastic Scale, FUGA, Budapest
2022 — Architectural Being, Fest;tisztít Gallery, Budapest
2021 — Analogues, Új Műhely Gallery, Szentendre
2020 — Spatial Cuts vol. 3: ..LAS, Kahan Art Space, Budapest
2019 — Techno Organic Creatures, Karinthy Salon, Budapest
2019 — Non Continuum, Valid World Hall, Barcelona
2018 — Logical Being, FUGA, Budapest
2017 — Literal Biopsy, P28 Gallery, Budapest

SELECTED GROUP EXHIBITIONS &
